Will YOU Be Silenced?

A lot has been written about Julian Assange, so I’m not going into his back story - we've got Google for that.

Suffice it to say, he's either loved or loathed.

But the thing I feel passionately about - and which should unite people on all sides of the debates, political, legal or otherwise - is that he’s being deprived of liberties the rest of us are free to enjoy every day.

We live in an age where social media is fast overtaking main stream media ('MSM') as the ‘Go To’ place to get a sense of the world. It not only connects us to friends and family, wherever they may be, but also gives us a voice to express our thoughts on matters we feel strongly about - and even influence the outcomes.

And being electronic, the Powers That Be can silence anyone almost at the flick of a switch.

Which is exactly what they’ve done to Julian - a prominent spokesperson in these turbulent times. Whether you agree with his views or not, he provides an important balance to help shape your own opinions while we're all trying to distinguish between what is or isn't fake news.

And, if it can happen to him - and you don’t speak up to defend what should be everyone’s right to be heard - then we’ll all sleepwalk into an Orwellian nightmare.

This should matter to you.

Will YOU be silenced?

  1. I know you you won't agree with this Roy but effectively Christians are being silenced for speaking up about sinfulness that the world sees as normal or even honoured and glorified. I believe it will increase and many of those you know may find themselves as ostracised or even jailed because of their beliefs. Re Julian Assange I don't particularly like the guy and he should remove himself from protective custody and face whatever charges are laid. I hope I have the boldness to do that myself if it comes to the crunch. Love you guys Richard

  2. Thanks for the comment. JA's not afraid to face British justice for skipping bail (to avoid being extradited to Sweden and then possibly delivered to the USA - where some want him dead), and the Swedish charges came to nought, but he still has no guarantees from the UK Gov't that he won't be extradited to the States. So I always reply to folk who say he should walk out and face the consequences, "What would Anne Frank have done?". As for Christian persecution, even in the western world ... yes, faith is already being eroded and may indeed be utterly suppressed if evils like totalitarianism prevail. That's exactly why I posted this - no-one should be denied a voice and we must raise ours to expose corruption or intimidation.
